Dr. Santosh Kumar Mallick
Dr. Santosh Kumar Mallick is a seasoned industry leader with over 35 years of experience spanning defence, shipbuilding, aerospace, heavy engineering, and strategic HR leadership. He most recently served as Executive Director at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, India's premier defence shipyard, where he led HR, Corporate Governance, and Business Strategy functions from 2017 to 2025.
Over his career, Dr. Mallick has held senior leadership positions at BEML Limited, IFFCO Limited, Engineers India Limited, and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd, driving organizational transformation, talent strategy, and industrial relations across major public sector enterprises.
He currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Practice at IIT Ropar and holds several board and advisory positions, including Advisor to the Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster (BCKIC) Foundation, Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA) to the Government of India, Chairman of IMC at the National Skill Training Institute, and Governing Council Member of the Capital Goods Strategic Sector Skill Council (MSDE).
Dr. Mallick holds a Ph.D. in Business Management, an MBA from NMIMS, a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work from IISWBM, an LL.B. from Utkal University, and a B.Com (Hons.) from Utkal University. He is a recipient of numerous national honors, including the BML Munjal Award, Kalinga HR Excellence Award, and multiple HR Leadership Awards from Governance Now.
